We headed up through outback NSW and into Queensland shortly after we got married. We jokingly said 'Why don't we keep going to Darwin and then onto Perth?'

The following year, that's exactly what we did. From Perth we headed across the Nullabor plain, up to Coober Pedy and Alice Springs that was 2002. In 2003 we left the safety of the bitumen in our Isuzu MU and travelled on the Gibb River Road through the Kimberly, Tanami and the Plenty Highways back into Qld.

2004 came, we left Brisbane and moved to Tasmania. We enjoyed feeling cold for a few years until it didn't feel cold anymore.

We've seen most of Australia together.  Now it's time to discover new places and countries we haven't seen.

Nicko briefly travelled to the UK and US in 1997. He will have plenty of opportunity to show off his moving camera skills on this expedition. Be sure to enjoy some highlights on this website as we go along.

We will also be joined by two companions on this trip. Gimli (son of Boing) and Legolas (of the Eucalypt Realm). We'll introduce our new friends shortly.
